Esri Data and Location Services

Launching New Solutions

A 50+ year old company, Esri was seeking to expand into new markets. While the business traditionally sold GIS software and maps to Government agencies, there was big opportunity with Commercial expansion. With the 2020 Census approaching and a wave of new analytics leaders looking for data, Karisa collaborated across the organization and global distributor network to revitalize the company’s traditional positioning and launch the Data and Location Services portfolio.

Creating Evergreen Experiences

The launch of Esri's Data and Location Services portfolio introduced a comprehensive customer journey and cohesive design aesthetic that resonated across global industries and platforms. The portfolio expanded visibility of 1P and 3P data sources, diversifying solution coverage through partnerships, and streamlining the discovery and purchase experience. Built to be evergreen, the Data and Location Services brand serves as a timeless, powerful resource that remains relevant and impactful to this day.

Interacting With Buyers

The Know Your Neighborhood™ app is an interactive experience that enables exploration of Esri’s Data and Location Services. This app visualizes complex data in a clear, relatable way to quickly demonstrate value. By simplifying data interaction, the app bridges the gap between technical concepts and non-tech-savvy buyers. Empowering people to see explore their communities is press-worthy and shareable too. The app has been featured organically across industries and news outlets.

Leading with Vision

InMarket Digital Circular

The CPG industry had digitized the majority of their media, but weekly paper circulars were still “best practice” for retailers.

The Digital Circular solution bridged this gap to connect InMarket’s existing location-based device notifications to national retailer’s digital shopping flyers, while shoppers were in the buying process.

Managing this GTM, the Digital Circular solution enabled InMarket to target new revenue opportunities, leading to $2M+ in sales at launch.
